Surf Breaks
The best surf breaks in Samoa. Samoana Resort is well know for surfing trips and great surf breaks. Check out the breaks below for some of the best surfing in Samoa.
South Shore

Village Lefts:
A down the line left hand wave, with some great bowls, within walking distance of Sa’Moana Resort
Resorts:
Two fun waves right out in front of the resort, they need a west to SW swell to be at their best.
Coconuts:
An incredibly hollow right-hander that has been compared to HT’s in the Mentawais. Holds up to around 10ft
Inside Siumu:
A short fun left with wackable walls
Outside Siumu:
A little more serious that “Inside” with longer and bowlier sections.
Aganoa:
Other wise known as Boulders, a classic left hand point style break that is fully protected in the SE trades. The inside section sucks up over dinner plate coral. Can hold up to 15ft +
Nuusafee Island:
Also called Devils Island (aka The Island) due to it being a Samoan cultural site. A very fast left hand wave with big sections on the outer reef and the inside that can provide some mind blowing barrels. Also holds up to around 15ft +
North Shore

Tiavea:
A Sunset style right hand peak that has a great drop and provides some great tubes, and moderate length rides. Reputedly holds up to 15ft. At times a left also breaks off the peak. There are a several other waves in the same area.
Laulii:
An excellent right that winds down a small point/spit into a tropical bay with a hollow first section.
Falea’puna:
A medium length hollow right hander breaking on a shallow corral reef.
Fagaloa Bay:
The most amazing bay (not unlike T-Tree Bay at Noosa) with 4 separate right hand reefs running down its eastern shore. Needs an exact swell direction and is not all that easy to access.
Solosolo:
A fairly long right hand wave with bowl sections and down the line fun.
Pudding Rock: (aka The Rock) A short playful right breaking over rocks, easy paddle out and access.
These are only a few of the places we have access to, and as mentioned previously there are more unnamed and unchartered breaks available to guests of the resort.
